Better Markets for Everyone
Markets aren't all created equal! Belknap County has seen too many markets come and go, many rarely receiving the attention, promotion and services a strong market requires. At BAMM, we know you're passionate about your product and that you depend on markets for the success of your business, after all, we're vendors ourselves. Shouldn't markets work as hard as you do to help you succeed? We think so too, so here's what we'll do to help make your business successful:
Location Markets will be held at the right place and time to appeal to residents, commuters and tourists, bringing you the most customers possible. See Markets and Traffic.
Sizing We match the number of vendors and type of vendors to the expected number of customers, to make sure vendors will each earn enough for their business to be successful. See Analysis.
Ambiance Markets should be a fun and welcoming place for everyone. We'll offer music and hot food to attract and keep a wider audience.
Promotion Markets will be promoted online, on social media, in print, through signage, and on the radio.
Payment Options From SNAP/EBT with market match, to market tokens, gift cards, and veteran's vouchers, we'll accommodate as many types of customers as possible in support of your business.
Volunteers We'll always be seeking volunteers from the community to help keep markets running smoothly, but unlike most markets, ours will be managed by employees, not the volunteers.
Support Directly and through partnerships with UNH, we'll provide the support you need for your farm or food business to be successful, and provide perks for those who take advantage of it.
Advocacy As your business grows, markets will only be one of your sales channels. We'll work with you and retailers to support your growth.
Incentives We'll work with local businesses to provide incentives to vendors who sell at our markets.
Rules Our markets will have fair rules and enforcement to keep things running smoothly for everyone.
Data We'll keep track of customer counts, take feedback from vendors and customers, and optionally your anonymous sales figures to give us the insight needed to keep markets successful.
When choosing your markets, ask how many of the above are being provided. You can use our evaluation form below to keep track!
